Patrick Chupin, autodidact artist.
From my childhood, art and beauty have fascinated me.
Throughout my life, I've been able to travel, to meet other cultures, countries and religions. In Africa, In Israël , in the United States, or in the different countries I've explored, I've learnt the art of listening, of sharing, of respecting those I met, in their uniqueness and in their diversity.
This quest for truth has always orientated my life, it's the very meaning of my life.
During this quest, I spent a few years within a religious community.
I've learnt goldsmith's and siversmith's art, thanks to many meetings, and thanks to a lot of efforts. I've transmitted strenght, tenderness to an original work, deprived of sophistication, my works of art aspire for beauty, to authenticity, their only meaning is to "elevate the soul of the observer".
« A work of art is a window opening onto the invisible presence each one of us is carrying deep inside, it is a way of light, enlightening our heart. I try to transmit every thing I'm carrying deep inside, and my works of arts often demand lots of time, lots of patience. A work of art, like a child, is not expecting to be understood or explained, but rather to be loved, accepted, freely, without any kind of prejudice.
every one of my works of art is bearing a message, which can only be understood by the observer willing to accept his nakedness. If the work of art is true, it will help the observer to discovre his identity, to grow, to love even more, it will awaken, deep inside his heart, what is noble and beautiful. »
